While Lina and the gang were searching for the Claire Bible, they encountered Xellos, a traveling priest who was also searching for the book. Xellos decided to accompany Lina and the others in their search. But he never got too friendly with them, and he always stayed behind, as if he were hiding something. Well, it turned out that he was...he's actually a monster!(and was serving Hellmaster Phibrizzo at the time.)
Even though most monsters have evil and malicious personalities, Xellos is actually one of the most comical and clever characters on Slayers! He's very elusive and unpredictable, and you never know where he's gonna pop up next. He's much better at being a prankster and a joker, than being a monster! ^_^
