The female Nidoran has smaller horns than the male Nidoran. It is a mild-mannered pokemon that does not like to fight. But although it is small and very docile, it protects itself with its venomous barbs when attacked. The barbs are thought to have developed as protection for this small-bodied pokemon. While it is not very combative, when enraged, it releases a horrible toxin from its horn. The poison hidden in the horn is extremely potent and even a tiny droplet or scratch can have fatal results. It will torment its foes with poison spikes if it is threatened in any way.
