Original Japanese name: Batafurii (Butterfree)
Type: Bug/Flying
Species: Butterfly
Height: 3'7"
Weight: 70.5lbs
Evolution: Evolves from Metapod
Butterfree loves honey and has a superior ability to search for delicious honey from flowers. It can search out, extract, and carry honey from flowers that are blooming over six miles from its nest. It can even locate flower patches that have tiny amounts of pollen, as well as identify distant flowers in bloom. Every day it flits from flower to flower collecting honey. It rubs the honey onto the hairs on its legs to carry it back to its nest. Butterfree's wings are covered with poisonous dust. In battle, it flaps its wings at high speed, releasing the toxins into the air. If you see one flapping its wings, be careful not to inhale any of the dust. The wings are also covered with a water-repellent powder. This allows it to fly about and collect honey even in the heaviest of rains.
