FAQ and Contact

Q: Who runs this blog?
A: Unless otherwise stated, everything on this blog is written and maintained by me, Yumeka. The majority of the content on my main site, AnimeYume.com, is also made by me.

Q: Can I add anything to Mainichi Anime Yume (or AnimeYume.com)?
A: Sorry, but no. I’ve always intended to run my blog and web site by myself. But if there ever comes a time when I feel like I need some extra help with either site, I’ll be sure to make an announcement.

Q: Can you add a link to my site on MAY?
A: I only accept mutual link exchanges. If you want to exchange blog links, I’ll probably accept as long as I feel that your blog is halfway decent and it has at least ten significant posts written. However, when it comes to regular web sites, I’ll only add a link to AnimeYume.com if your site passes the requirements. Click here for Anime Yume’s linkage details.

Q: I wrote a comment on a post but I don’t see it on the blog yet.
A: If you’ve posted a comment on MAY before, your new comment should appear right away. If this is your first time posting a comment, I have to approve it before it publicly appears. This is to catch any spam that slips past the filter or to get rid of comments I deem inappropriate. So be patient. Your comment will appear as soon as I check it which, depending on the time of day, could take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours. If more than a day goes by and your comment doesn’t appear, try submitting it again. I recommend saving a copy of your long comments in case something goes wrong upon submitting them and you have to type them again.

Q: Do you read and reply to all of your comments?
A: I definitely read all the comments that are approved on this blog and I try to reply to as many as I can. For new posts, I’ll usually wait a day and then reply to all the comments thus far on that post in one sitting. Once in a while I might reply quicker or slower – it just depends on what I feel like. But if I don’t reply, especially for older posts, I just didn’t have anything more to say. I do read them all though.

Q: How are MAY and AnimeYume.com related?
A: In June 2002, I purchased a domain name, “animeyume.com,” from Yahoo!. That’s where I first began work on my main site, AnimeYume.com. I made Anime Yume an information and resource anime site, where people interested in anime, whether fans themselves or simply curious newcomers, can find a lot of info, images, media, links, etc., for a variety of anime and for anime in general. A while ago, Yahoo! updated my web tools and gave me an easy option to start my own blog through WordPress.org. So in October 2006, I decided to give anime blogging a go, and Mainichi Anime Yume was born. Both MAY and Anime Yume are hosted on my domain name, animeyume.com. But as of now, I’m going to be concentrating on doing blog posts on MAY rather than site work on Anime Yume. Anime Yume will still be updated and worked on once in a while, and any updates regarding content such as images or media, will probably find their way to both sites. More information about Anime Yume can be found here.

Q: How can I contact you?
A: You can find my e-mail address on the E-mail Me page of AnimeYume.com. If you have a question or concern that’s not related to a specific post on the blog, then please e-mail me about it rather than posting it as a comment (you can also contact me on Twitter). I love getting feedback and talking with other anime fans, so if you just want to e-mail me to say hi and talk about anime, that’s fine too ^_^
