Thank you very much! And yes; I already know that he won't understand things like the Phoenix Wright jokes in Haruhi, but god, nothing can be as "otaku" as Lucky Star. XD He couldn't stand to finish even one episode of that. I only made it through two before deciding that it was too much effort to watch when there were better shows out there. We moved on to Toradora-- a decision I am very happy I made. That show rocked.

@ Saere

In response to your questions, I think your brother would like Haruhi if he likes those other shows. I think it has more universality than Lucky Star because of its style and sci-fi elements, while Lucky Star is composed of stream of conscious humor targeted exclusively at Japanese otaku.

And yes, I recommend watching the episodes in chronological order. And you should skip at least 5 of the "Endless Eight" episodes XD

Wow, some of those are fantastic. My favorites were Noise and The Harassment of Kyon.

And hey, I have some Haruhi questions. I see a lot of anime with my little brother by downloading episodes and putting them on our iPods; we'll watch them on our own time and then discuss later. Obviously I won't ever give him episodes of yaoi/GTO/etc, but he really enjoys romantic comedies like Clannad, Kanon, Ouran, Sola, Tenshi na Konamaiki... you get the point. Is Haruhi something that a fourteen-year-old boy can enjoy? Although I saw enough of the show to get the gist, I never got swept into the MoHS/Lucky Star craze, so I have no idea. o.O

My second question is about the order. I'm a serious otaku so the order won't really bother me, but since I'll be maybe watching it with my brother, do you recommend that I see them in the original, mixed up order, or try to see them chronologically?
