@ Kyoizumi

Yeah, I know they used the prologue from the novels as the epilogue for the anime, but I forgot they changed it a bit as you mentioned. That's too bad. But compared to how some anime is changed from its original source, the Haruhi series is pretty faithful overall.

I didn't like the very end of this episode because it changed A LOT from the original. First of all, it's the credits; it was originally the prologue which makes more since considering this is from the second light novel and we're leaving off from the epilogue of the first book. I don't think very many fans who don't read didn't even know that this scene is a flashback from episode 6 rather than having it actually be the end of season 2.

This is the main problem. Everything in this anime scene is pretty much the same as the original until...after Haruhi screams at Kyon, "DON'T MESS WITH ME!" she JUST LEAVES WITHOUT SAYING ANYTHING. This REALLY gets me into a ranting mood. Here's why.

This is the original version. After Haruhi gets angry, she doesn't leave. Nope. She says WHY she doesn't believe anything Kyon said. She also doesn't leave the cafe by herself. She and Kyon split up to go find you-know-whats.

They are in fact making a 'Disappearance' Movie, which is scheduled to be released Spring 2010
It'll be much better as a movie I think, after reading the book online I thought that it was much to long to be created into a episode, but i'm looking forward for it.
I don't know if its going to be released in the UK or the USA, but I'm pretty sure over time people will get the chance to sub it (Or even dub it, since the MOHS Dub is amazing.) And it'll be submitted online
Hope I helped

Overal, other than the BLR ep, I thought this series sucked. Sure it was great having new eps and all, but E8 killed it and Sighs was pretty dull (although I started enjoying it more towards the end there tbh). If it wasn't for the endless Endless Eight know I would have enjoyed it more. On the plus side, I did enjoy this season more than 2 of the other "currently airing" series I was watching at the same time: 07 Ghost and Umi Monogatari (aka "Sea Story"), which are both about as much fun as banging my head on a brick wall. I still gave Haruhi 2 a 4 on MAL mostly due to E8 anyways.

As for the bit on the last ep, I heard elsewhere that it was a prolouge for one of the novels as well. I'm glad they added it in like that too. It seemed like a nice way round off the season. =)

Well, on that note, if this is the last we will see of Haruhi for a while then I guess this is it for a while. As mediocre/dull/endless/rare-moments-of-greatness as this season was, I haven't given up on it yet, and I look forward to seeing Disappearance. Hopfully KyoAni won't let us down on and give us all something good, otherwise if they don't, I can see a huge angry mob of Haruhi fans will firebombing the studio (if they haven't already that is).

Well.. i saw in other websites that this season will have 22-23 episodes..
Im not sure if this is 100% true.. but I cant wait for a season 3.. i want more episodes now.
The season started with a good episode, the Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody.. but then, the Endless Eight arc was a total waste of time.. then the sighs of Suzumiya Haruhi.. well wasnt THAT bad, i liked the ep 13, when Kyon tried to punch Haruhi, made my day that part.. and the ep 14 was kinda good.

My supposition (and I'm sure this will be discredited by someone who's read the books and therefore has the actual answer), is that Kyon won't believe it, and either it means his personal reality will be significantly altered down the road (unless it already has been) because of his interpretation of Haruhi's influence, or his disbelief will show through to Haruhi, and her altering reality will make Nagato's theory untrue.

The episodes that weren't in the endless eight were definitely worth the wait. My only major concern is Nagato's expression in that fan made poster. If Nagato is worried, we're all screwed.

Something has been bothering Me for a while. There is a part where Yuki tells something to Kyon...right after Mikuku talked with him...

“There is no guarantee that what I say is true. At least for you.”

What that could mean?

It has been a fun ride so far, even with the Endless Eight fiasco.

@xoiea

I meant this might be the last new episode in the rebroadcast; I'm sure they'll continue the story with Episode 00, Live Alive, etc., but after these old episodes are over, it looks like the new season will be over. But yes, I'm hoping it won't be long before "The Disappearance" =D
